Have you ever had a person that your friends keep telling you that you need to meet? That was us.

 

Back in 2022 both of us wanted to do more music and potentially get a space. Jess has a history of running music venues and creative spaces and Dan wanted to record bands and have a studio. We explored the potential of sharing somewhere together and developing our own businesses. We realised that we both had similar values - community, authenticity, care - and that while our businesses were different they complimented each other. We decided to work under DIO - Do It Ourselves - separate but together.

 

Since then DIO has recorded bands, provided rehearsal spaces, put on gigs and done artist bookings across venues and festivals. We have separate businesses but we're always there to support each other - whether it's turning up with a load of XLRs or having a strong brew with a good chat.
